Mission-Driven

Reclaiming Great Abaco’s forests for a sustainable future

Bahamas PineWorks (BPW) is Bahamian-owned and has been issued an exclusive license from the Government of The Bahamas to remediate and salvage specific storm-damaged tracts for harvest and domestic and export sales.

Hand in hand with researchers and local environmental leaders,  BPW is working to salvage Abaco’s pine forest and others like it. Our smart solutions revitalize environments in crisis and stimulate growth – both ecological and economic.

BPW will also process the residual wood scrap and debris into a rich soil amendment product to nourish the parched forest, preventing future erosion and increasing the forest’s resilience to the next storm.

Committed to Conservation

1

Transparency
& Collaboration

We are committed to revitalizing the pine forest and wider community. We are transparent and work closely with researchers, environmentalists, and other stakeholders to deliver on this promise.

2

Sustainable
methods

Utilizing modern and environmentally-friendly alternatives to traditional harvesting methods, BPW is removing dead and dying trees from the forest and refining them for architectural use.

3

Community Empowerment

Our 360-degree, closed-loop business model reaps the highest gains for the community. From distressed timber, we create high-end, finished lumber products, employing a team of Abaconians and strengthening the economy.
